RAINBOW RICE

  • Pour some rice into a container.

  • Add a few drops of food dye.

  • Add a splash of vinegar.

  • Place lid on container and shake until colour disperses.

  • Add more food dye if a brighter shade is desired.

  • Line a tray with baking paper, pour coloured rice on and allow to dry (I usually leave it overnight)

Optional: add essential oils for scent (be mindful some are not safe for consumptions, although either way, this sensory play medium should not be introduced to children who place items in their mouths)
